Sportsman Club at Point San Pablo Yacht Harbor

From Yelp.com: Hell yes! This place kicks so much ass and I'm sure many people will call me crazy for thinking so but I don't care. I'm not really sure how to tell you or even give concrete examples... it's just one of those places that reminds me of going on Goonies adventures as a kid and discovering someplace cool and growing up in Benicia with all the old abandoned buildings to explore and all those great North Bay memories.

Our First "Salty Saturday" Race to the Cruise

Thanks to our race committee chair Arjan Bok, we are now including a race to some of our cruising destinations. You can be a cruiser only, or a racer only, or a cruiser AND racer. Here is what you need to know:

Due to the currents on May 15th I have decided to start the race from the leeward side of Treasure Island so that no one needs to get stuck into the huge hole under the Bay Bridge, on top of that John Super put together a race for the Vanguard 15's that day, they all come from the Sailing Center on TI and they will have a first race from TI to the BVBC and probably will be starting 15 minutes before your start so give them some room. We probably will not be using a gun that day because of a lack of available hands on the committee boat so expect horns only. The sailing instructions are online and there will be some at the club as well.

Dinner Saturday night - bring something of your own to barbecue, and bring a side dish to share.
